The Chelsea Public School Health Office is managed by Charlotte Faccio RN MSN. Mrs. Faccio has 35 years of diverse nursing experience and has been the school nurse at Chelsea School for the past 15 years. She graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a BSN in 1980 and from Western Connecticut State University with a MSN in 1990.
The Chelsea School community is close knit and small. Therefore we are able to offer students easy access to caring adults that are used to working with children of all different ages K-12. The nurse’s role and responsibilities are varied and include medical 504 coordinator, health educator K-5, nurse K-12, health resource for building adults and core member of Farm to School and Wellness committees. This variation provides stimulating education opportunities and professional growth. The nurse pursues updated educational offerings on a yearly basis to stay current in both medicine and education.
All services offered through the health office are confidential and these include the Snack Pack Program, Coats for Kids, Health Hub Dental and Medical Coordination
Health Office Goals:

2. Advocate for student needs so they can maximize their learning potential.
3. Provide current health information as needed to the Chelsea Public School Community.
